The clippers are the problem, not the haircut

Most bad experiences a child has in a barbershop come down to noise and speed. A clipper going on next to your ear with no warning is genuinely startling, and a barber running twenty minutes behind will not stop to explain it.

That is why the fifteen minutes we hold between appointments matters more for kids than for anyone else. Nobody is waiting on the chair.

How it goes here

The clipper goes on and gets held in their hand before it goes anywhere near their head. They can sit on a parent's lap for the whole thing. If they want to stop halfway, we stop halfway, and if it is a write-off that day you do not pay for it.

School fades, scissor cuts, first haircuts. If you want the first-cut curl kept, say so at the start and we will bag it for you.

What it costs

[$30], 30 minutes, under 12. Fade or scissor cut. Over-65s take the same [$5] off any cut, any day.

Quietest for a first haircut is [Tuesday or Wednesday morning], when the shop is empty and there is no queue watching.

First haircuts are best booked early in the day, before a child is tired.

Call the shop and tell us the day. We will give you the next open chair and the name of the barber in it. Photo on WhatsApp beforehand if you have one.
